Amongst other great vitamins, antioxidants and minerals walnuts contain plenty of the by our body and brain well needed Omega 3 fats. Best eaten raw, walnuts are therefore a perfect treat.
What is it about Omega 3?
They are fat sources that our body cannot built itself. It is well known that our body needs these fats to keep our brain and organs healthy.
I found information that Chia seeds and Flaxseeds both have plenty of the precious Omega 3 fats. There is also information that kidney beans, spinach, broccoli or even cauliflower for example are also known to carry Omega 3 fats.
Make sure you have plenty of these wonderful “health boosters” in your diet.
What about supplements?
Research shows that omega-3 seems to be better absorbed from food than from supplements. Check with your GP when it comes to taking any supplements. In most cases I think that the right diet can give our body what it needs and safe us a lot of money.
