“Don’t lose Yourself!”
I recently met a wonderful gentleman and a true “angel” in my eyes.
He was one of the friendliest, enthusiastic, open, happy as well as lean, great and energetic looking people I ever met.
A father of three and previous business man.
Some years ago this man was heavily overweight, depressed, on the brink, on all sorts of medication and according to his GP very ill, not able to work, terribly sick … in hospital.
Luckily the nurse who was looking after him was a very wise person with a big heart. She told him just one simple thing:
“To get better you’ve got to go back to yourself!”
That’s what he did. He remembered that he used to love cycling when he was younger so he dug up his bike and started cycling again. At the same time he started focusing on himself, his diet, his life …
He doesn’t need his medication anymore, he is fit and healthy and he feels great. He is one of the happiest people I ever met and has a perfect healthy body.
Certainly! In our busy daily lives – how often do we forget our values, ourselves and what we really want to be?
I don’t think we want to be “stressed out”, overweight, stuck to routines that have silently “crept” into our lives which quite often do not benefit us at all but rather make us unhappy in the end.
Why don’t you go and find a quiet spot somewhere, sit down and think about what you really want in your life.
I don’t think it is being overweight, unfit and on an unhealthy diet just because everyone else does it. Am I right?
Please remember that your life is important -Take care of it.
