The Healthiest, Natural, Low Calorie, Non-Fat Bread Spread!

Hello everyone,

This is something I need to share with you.

It’s the healthiest, low calorie, natural, non-fat bread spread!

We all know that most common bread spreads are high in fat and calories, and are often unhealthy.

Where some Avocado, Tahini or Humus are tasty and much better for our health than Butter or Margarine they still are quite high in fats. They contain much better fats for our body than Butter and Margarine but still a lot of fat.

So if you are trying to lose weight, don’t want to overdo fats, maybe want to have some nuts or seeds instead your bread spread, here comes your solution:

Spread some mashed banana onto your sandwich or roll, load it with plenty of salad and vegies and you have your perfect health boosting, non-fat, low calorie breakfast, afternoon tea or lunch.

Here is a recipe for a perfect healthy, low calorie and non-fat breakfast roll:

The Ultimate Weight Loss and Health Principle

Hello everyone -this might have to be my last blog for some time.

I have learnt many lessons.

There are people who appreciate the goodness in life – people who care and create good for others.

Living Desert by Sandy Bröcking / Think Smart & Lose Weight

Many others seem to thrive on destroying lives, the good in life and positive creations – often simply due to greed and misleading assumptions.

Do we in general focus too much on thriving and gaining from the misery of others?

How many TV shows do we happily watch where people are in pain, misery and suffering – with us not realising that this “show” might be some one else’s “real world”.

Purple cow by Sandy Bröcking / Think Smart & Lose WeightHow often do we make assumptions of someone or something?

How often are we aware that our “judging” of someone or something on assumptions may create pain and suffering for others?

How often do we look behind people’s smiles … and perhaps see their tears?

How often do we care about others around us? How often do we consciously notice others around us? I’m not just talking about our closest family and friends here …

One thing I noticed is that destroying others and making others suffer does not create happiness and often leads to piling on loads of “unhappy kilos” in people.

As much as many people gain “unhappy” kilos from being mistreated by others. The cruel “others” quite often face the same physical problems including weight gain, an unhealthy body and diseases.

This has a very simple reason. Creating and thriving on unhappiness, other people’s misery and pain is not something our mind/sole likes.Sunlight by Sandy Bröcking / Think Smart & Lose Weight

Our true mind/sole wants to connect and create happiness because that’s exactly what we all want for ourselves, true? So true happiness only comes from giving happiness.

So how can we easily lose some kilos and stay healthy?

Simple answer: Focus on giving and helping rather then destroying other people’s lives. Think of the feelings and needs of anyone who is part of your life at any moment in time. This can be a stranger, your client, the person sitting behind you, a child in fear or the most likely terrified “teenager” bull in the slaughterhouse who is possibly going to be your next meal.

What I learned is that creating “health” comes from giving, gratitude and from respecting others. Not from making assumptions and creating pain.

Please, take care of your body and take care of other’s around you – It’s worth it!

I wish I could …

Hi everyone,

How often do we think: “I wish I could do …”

How often do we think: “I wish I had done …”

Recently, a lady came to me while I was doing some Beach by Sandy Bröcking_Think Smart & Lose Weightstretches before getting on my bike for a ride. “I wish I could do that”, she said adding “at least my granddaughter got me off the couch demanding she wants to go to the playground. ”

My complements to the granddaughter and her demands.

There are many things we all can do but we choose to avoid because … we are too busy, we have other interests (e.g. having a cake with friends or family), we may miss our favorite TV show, we think we can’t do it …

Who wishes to go for a bike ride or a walk or do some stretches like the lady did?

Well, the answer is very simple: Do it! Central Coast Lookout by Sandy Bröcking_Think Smart & Lose Weight

Start slowly; get some help if you need in the beginning if you are not sure about it (ask a trainer or take lessons). Don’t overdo and make sure you enjoy it.

Gradually increase your walks, cycle tours or stretches … and you’ll be amazed what you can do!

After a while, instead of “I wish I could …” you may say “I’m glad I can!”

Take care of your body – It’s worth it!

Top 10 Tips to prevent you from Falling into the “Social Snack Trap”!

Hi everyone,

A recent newspaper article showed that our common ‘snacking’ at work and other places make us pile on weight.

In fact it’s not just helping us pile on weight, most of these so called ‘snacks’ are truly not good for our health nor for our body.

Here are my top 10 tips to prevent you from falling into the ‘social snack trap’:

1. Learn to say “No!” and be proud of it! You don’t have to eat someone’s birthday cake just because it’s there.

2. Move the cake plate or chocolate bowl away from Fruitbowl-processedyou and out of sight.

3. Be an example: When it’s your turn bring something healthy like a fruit bowl, fruit kebabs or veggies and dips.

4. Walk or cycle to work. By doing so your brain releases so called ‘happy hormones’ which help decrease your appetite for junk food.

5. Take your own healthy snacks to work (e.g. apples, pears, plums, oranges, carrot sticks, celery sticks, cucumber sticks, a banana or a few mixed nuts).

6. Before you stick your fork into the cake or your fingers into the chip bowl, ask yourself the question: “How does this help me?” or “How does this help my body?” or “Is this what I really want?”

7. Be smart and don’t even try one piece! Once you start, the sugar or salt content will usually make you want to eat more and before you even notice you may have consumed the calories of a whole meal in one snack – often even more.Dip bowl - processed

8. Look at the food temptation at what it truly is and ask yourself the question: “Is it worth it?” Most snacks consist of plenty of salt or refined sugar which is damaging our health. Another common ingredient is a lot of fat which not only makes us overweight but also immensely increases our risk for the common, for most people very painful and highly uncomfortable, often deadly lifestyle related diseases.

9. When tempted tell yourself that you can have the chocolate, chips or cake every day but that you don’t want it right now. Remember that “The most important thing in our life is our body. It is our body that sticks with us our entire life – and it is mostly upon us how well we keep it functioning.”

10. Every day focus on a healthy diet with plenty of vegetables and fruits as this will help to reduce food cravings.

Please, take care of your body – It’s worth it!
